RUGS
How to measure for rugs sizes
If you are not sure what rug size your horse takes you will need to measure the horse.
Measure from the centre of the horse's chest, around the shoulder in a straight line
to the point level with the top of the tail. measurements are taken in feet and inches.
(there are 12 inches in a foot)
Rugs sizes start at 4' 6" to approx 7' 0" (going up in 3 inch levels). |

Taking care of your Tack

Cleaning your Tack
Take tack apart and wash numnah in washing machine. With a damp warm water sponge wipe
over using a glycerin soap or spray soap to clean dirt and sweat away and to soften and condition
the leather.
With a pin or narrow skewer gently clean all the holes out neatly. Clean the
stirrup irons, buckles and bit cheeks with metal polish (Carr & Day & Martin make
a good metal polish). Buff up with a dry cloth for a sparkling finish. Soak the bit in warm
water to get any residue or dried grass off! Wipe 'n' groom Belvoir Leather wipes are handy
as a last wipe over tack before entering a show ring. |
